Skyline Biology Club

The Skyline High School biology club has organized our meetings around the central theme of diversity. In September our focus was on protists. We did the "feed your ameoba and stentor" lab from Carolina biological (thanks to the gift certificate last year!). In October we are taking advantage of the fruiting of local mushrooms and having "Fungus Month." Last week we went on a "fungus hunt" and took pictures of mushrooms. We then used an extensive dichotomous key to identify the species we found. Next week we are going to feed carnivorous fungi (again, thanks to Carolina).

Cheers!
